O ano está a acabar, já podemos começar com o balanço final.
Vou começar a colocar aqui os álbuns de que mais gostei deste ano.

O nome KTU surge da junção de Kluster (Kimmo Pohjonen e Samuli Kosminen) e do duo TU (Trey Gunn e Pat Mastelotto ambos ex-King Crimson).
Já foi dito por muitos que Kimmo Pohjonen vendeu a alma ao demónio, tal é a maneira como toca, leva-nos para caminhos em que nunca pensávamos que um acordeão nos podesse levar e para o acompanhar nesta viagem temos os ambientes mágicos criados por Samuli Kosminen, os ritmos estonteantes do Pat Mastelotto e o aconchego da guitarra War (10 cordas) do Trey Gunn.

"Aug 2: KTU success at FMM, Sines
The KTU group enjoyed a smashing success at the FMM Festival in Sines, Portugal, one of the best festivals in Europe. On July 30, KTU performed to about 7000 people in a show with Master Musicians of Jajouka and Irish band Kila. Organizers say the ticket sales for that concert was the highest in the seven year history of the festival. Reviews from all four major papers were rave, for example from Diario de Noticias: "KTU, with the "diabolic" Kimmo Pohjonen, were the most applauded band of the last day of the festival..... If The Master Musicians of Jajouka are the ancestral spirits who's music has timeless resonance, KTU - "elected" by the crowd as the highlight of the night - imprison those same spirits in the urban schizophrenia of today. The project that reunites the Finnish Kluster (the accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen and the percussions and electronic samples man Samuli Kosminen) to the drummer Pat Mastelotto and the guitarist Trey Gunn, created on stage the hellish environment usual in Pohjonens music and went further to create convulsive, ghostly music, able to release gargoyles from its cement skin - and they, scarily, danced slow waltzes, improvised gothic jazz, adding unexpected funk in the encore, which was muscular and overwhelming.".
